I wanted to download counter strike 1.6. but downloaded steam. what is it lol :S
Steam is like a hub for computer gaming. You can download all your past bought valve games, communicate with friends from diffsteamerent games, and purchase a bunch of new games that will be available for download whenever you want, wherever you want with one account/password.
Basically, If you've bought Counter Strike in the paststeam; You download steam, go to the my games list, right click counter strike 1.6 and hit install. It will download and install the game.
Counter Strike runs through Steam. You need to have Steam first.
