This song was originally a Top Ten hit by it's original singer/writer, Tom Cochrane in therascal flatts discography early 90s. He had previosly been in the 80s band Red Rider and sang their big hit 'Lunatic Fringe', which can be found on the 'Vision Quest' soundtrack.
Rascal Flatts covered this song for the movie 'Cars'. They didn't try to country it up and pretty much performed it strait-forward like the orirascal flatts discographyginal. Both versions are worthy, IMHO. :-)
